United Way of Transylvania County’s TRAIN program provides resources and support for our county’s nonprofits and health and human service agencies. Along with other initiatives that facilitate communication and collaboration between agencies, TRAIN offers a free Educational Series: workshops designed to help nonprofits increase their capacities and enhance their skills.

The final installment of the Family Dinner Series until fall, this event showcases options throughout Transylvania County. The Family Dinner Series continues on Monday, February 13 from 5:30 – 7 pm at the Transylvania Public Library. Come enjoy a free family meal and children’s activities, and hear from psychologists William Dalton and Elizabeth Conway-Williams about how to have less stress and more fun with your kids.
This is the third offering in the Family Dinner series, designed to bring families together in the community for healthy meals and practical information. The Family Support Committee is part of Transylvania County’s Early Childhood Initiative collaborative. Positive Parenting Part 2 continues in March, followed by a program from the CARE Coalition in April.
